Now that Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are the nominees which one is the favorite in this clearly defined voting bloc?
A survey shows that Donald Trump is the favorite but there’s plenty of room for the sentiment to shift. About 35% of small business owners haven’t made up their minds.
After sifting through the rhetoric at both the Republican and Democratic political conventions they want to know how the candidates address the issues. The economy, taxes, healthcare, the minimum wage increase and now overtime regulations all impact operations.
“These owners are most likely waiting to make voting decisions until the candidates display a clear understanding of how their industry is being impacted,” says Manta CEO John Swanciger.
He notes that Donald Trump is still the front-runner in the eyes of the small business community.
“Small business owners appreciate Trump’s experience as a businessman rather than a politician. In their view, Trump has been in the trenches of running a successful business and small business owners believe he is capable of propelling our economy forward.”
