You’ve got to sell. No question about it. If you’re running a small business then someone has to be given the task of selling and that’s no easy task, although it is extremely rewarding.
And while a business owner can hire an outside sales person on either a base with commission, commission only or whatever creative deal suffices, the owner is going to have to do some selling.
Consultants, especially, have got to sell or learn to sell effectively.
